Quilted Joules Jacket

Quilted Joules Jacket

I recently got a lovely email from Joules asking if I would be interested in blogging about a Joules Quilted Jacket, and of course I jumped at the opportunity. Brands like Joules, Crew Clothing and Hackett have always been in my life as my family are real country bumpkins; we love being in the countryside and exploring new sights, especially with English Heritage and National Trust. This jacket is a Moredale quilted jacket in the colour 'Evergold' (six options available); I love this colour as I think it will go perfectly with so many other items in my wardrobe. I decided to take these photos on one of the few sunny days that we have had recently as the sun definitely compliments the bright and cheerful floral lining; although this isn't specifically a summer jacket, I think that because it is so lightweight, it makes it perfect for an English summer as we don't always have the best weather. The lining exudes bursts of blues, greens, reds, yellows and pinks to make a charming floral print, similar to many of their other designs; and as it displays a variety of colours, it is easy to combine with pretty much everything in your wardrobe, especially simple block coloured clothes such as tank tops and jeans.

Although I normally wear a size 10 in jackets, because of the more fitted nature of the Moredale I decided to get a size 8 so that it was a little tighter and could be worn open without overwhelming my frame. I would definitely recommend trying the different sizes out to ensure that you get the size that you feel the most comfortable in, of course that is always the most important thing when buying a great jacket like this. Let me know what you think!
